The breakdown of the family has deeply impacted the nation of Belize. Seeing the need in Belize for stronger marriages and families, My Refuge Christian Ministries started marriage outreach ministry in February of 2000.

Part of this outreach includes monthly marriage getaways, where local couples take a weekend away at a local retreat center or go out for a night at a local restaurant and fellowship with each other, talking about issues that affect marriages, while at the same time having a relaxing, fun time, away from distractions of the home that can easily tear down marriage. The goal is the discipleship of married couples.

Resources Available

Richard and Rosa are available to administer marriage counseling.
Video library with three different sets of material
A variety of books discussing how to deal with real issue confronting marriage today.
Radio Program: "Family Home Builders Program" Each Sunday morning, Richard and Rosa host their own program dealing with family issues.
Couples are invited to stay at My Refuge and use the facility as a place of restoration.
